A daily collection of snippets and highlights from the Quran. I started collecting these for every single night of Ramadan to send a Christian friend who’s interested in the Quran but struggles to find time to read it. So I thought to share these online for others who might also benefit.

5.82 You will surely find the most intense of the people in animosity toward the believers (Muslims), as the Jews and those who associate others with God; and you will find the nearest of them in affection to the believers those who say, “We are Christians.” That is because among them are priests and monks and because they are not arrogant.

5.83 And when they (who call themselves Christians) listen to what has been sent down to the Messenger (Muhammad SAW), you see their eyes overflowing with tears because of the truth they have recognised. They say: “Our Lord! We believe; so write us down among the witnesses.

5.84 and why should we not believe in Allah and the truth that has come to us? And we long for our Lord to include us in the company of the righteous.”

5.85 and because of what they said, God will reward them with Gardens under which rivers flow, to stay there forever. And that is the reward of the good-doers.

5.90 O believers! Intoxicants, gambling, idols, and drawing lots for decisions are all evil of Satan’s handiwork. So shun them so you may be successful.

5.91 Satan only wants to cause between you animosity and hatred through intoxicants and gambling and to avert you from the remembrance of God and from prayer. So will you not then abstain?

5.116 And [beware the Day] when God will say, “O Jesus, Son of Mary, did you say to the people, ‘Take me and my mother as deities besides God?’” He will say, “Glory be to You! How could I ever say what I had no right to say? If I had said such a thing, you would have certainly known it. You know what is ˹hidden˺ within me, but I do not know what is within You. Indeed, You ˹alone˺ are the Knower of all unseen.

5.117 I said not to them except what You commanded me — worship God, my Lord and your Lord. And I was a witness over them as long as I was among them; but when You took me up, You were the Observer over them, and You are, over all things, Witness.

5.118 If You should punish them — indeed they are Your servants; but if You forgive them — indeed it is You who is the Exalted in Might, the Wise. (this shows the gentleness and mercy of Jesus, pleading to God for his people)

6.20 Those to whom We gave the Scripture (Jews/Christians) recognize him (Muhammad) ˹to be a true prophet˺ as they recognize their own children. Those who have ruined themselves will never believe.

6.33 We know that you, [O Muhammad], are grieved by what they say. And indeed, they do not call you untruthful, but it is the verses of God that the wrongdoers reject.

6.34 Indeed, messengers before you were rejected but patiently endured rejection and persecution until Our help came to them. And God’s promise ˹to help˺ is never broken. And you have already received some of the stories of these messengers.

6.59 And with Him are the keys of the unseen, none knows them but He. And He knows whatever there is on the earth and in the sea; not a leaf falls, but he knows it. And there isn’t a grain in the darkness of the earth nor anything fresh or dry, but is written in a Clear Record.

Story of Ibrahim finding the truth:

6.76 When the night grew dark upon him, he saw a star and said, “This must be my Lord!” But when it set, he said, “I do not love things that set.”

6.77 Then when he saw the moon rising, he said, “This must be my Lord!” But when it disappeared, he said, “If my Lord does not guide me, I will certainly be one of the misguided people.”

6.78 Then when he saw the sun shining, he said, “This must be my Lord — it is the greatest!” But again when it set, he declared, “O my people! I totally reject whatever you associate ˹with God in worship˺.

6.79 I have turned my face towards the One Who has originated the heavens and the earth — being upright — and I am not one of the polytheists.”

6.92 This is indeed a Blessed Book We have sent down, confirming what was (revealed) before it….Those who believe in the Hereafter believe in this scripture, and they take due care of their prayers.

6.101 He is the Originator of the heavens and the earth. How could He have a son when He does not have a companion and He created all things? And He is, of all things, Knowing.

6.102 This is God, your Lord, there is no God but Him, the Creator of all things, so worship Him alone; He is in charge of everything.

6.103 No vision can comprehend Him, but He comprehends all vision. He is the Most Subtle and Gentle, Well-Acquainted with all things.

6.104 Now clear proof has come to you from your Lord: if anyone sees it, that will be to his advantage; if anyone is blind to it, that will be to his loss- [Say], ‘I am not your guardian.’

6.106 Follow what has been revealed to you from your Lord, there is no God but Him. And turn away from those who join other gods with Him.
