A daily collection of snippets and highlights from the Quran. I started collecting these for every single night of Ramadan to send a Christian friend who’s interested in the Quran but struggles to find time to read it. So I thought to share these online for others who might also benefit.

Portion 6 of the Qur’an is full of verses aimed at Christians:

4.150 Indeed, those who disbelieve in God and His messengers and wish to discriminate between God and His messengers and say, "We believe in some and disbelieve in others," and wish to adopt a way in between -

They are in truth disbelievers. And We have prepared for the disbelievers a humiliating punishment

The Quran's stance on the crucifixion of Jesus:

4.156 And [We cursed them - the Jews] for their disbelief and their outrageous accusation against Mary (that she was a fornicator)

4.157 and for boasting, “We killed the Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, the messenger of God.” But they neither killed nor crucified him—it was only made to appear so. Even those who argue for this ˹crucifixion˺ are in doubt. They have no knowledge whatsoever—they are only making assumptions. They certainly did not kill him.

4.158 Rather, God raised him up (alive) to Himself. And God is Almighty, All-Wise.

4.170 O mankind! The Messenger (Muhammad) has certainly come to you with the truth from your Lord, so believe for your own good. But if you disbelieve, then ˹know that˺ to God belongs whatever is in the heavens and the earth. And God is All-Knowing, All-Wise.

4.171 O People of the Book (Jews/Christians)! Do not go to extremes regarding your faith; say nothing about God except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, son of Mary, was no more than a (human) messenger of God and His Word through Mary and a spirit ˹created by a command˺ from Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not say, “Trinity.” Stop!—for your own good. God is only One God! Glory be to Him! He is far exalted above having a son! To Him solely belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And God is sufficient as a Trustee of matters.

4.172 The Messiah would never be too proud to be (call himself) a servant of God, nor would the angels nearest to God. Those who are too proud and arrogant to worship Him will be brought before Him all together.

4.174 O mankind! There has come to you conclusive evidence from your Creator. And We have sent down to you a brilliant light (Quran)

The last verse of the Qur'an to be revealed:

5.3 Today I have perfected your religion for you, completed My favour upon you, and chosen Islam (submission to one God) as your religion.

5.5 Today all good, pure foods have been made lawful for you and the food of the People of the Book (Christians/Jews) is permissible for you and yours is permissible for them. And ˹permissible for you in marriage˺ are chaste Muslim women as well as chaste women of those given the Scripture before you(Christians/Jews)—as long as you pay them their dowries in wedlock, neither fornicating nor taking them as mistresses. And whoever rejects the faith, all their good deeds will be void ˹in this life˺ and in the Hereafter they will be among the losers.

5.14 And from those who call themselves Christians, We took their covenant, but they have abandoned a good part of the Message that was sent to them. So We let hostility and enmity arise between them until the Day of Judgment, and soon God will inform them of all they have done.

5.15 O People of the Book(Christians/Jews)! Now Our Messenger (Muhammad) has come to you, making clear to you much of what you used to conceal of the Scriptures and disregarding much. There certainly has come to you from God a light and a clear Book

5.16 through which God guides those who seek His pleasure to the ways of peace, brings them out of darkness and into light by His Will, and guides them to the Straight Path.

5.48 We sent to you [O Muhammad] the Scripture with the truth, confirming the Scriptures that came before it, and with final authority over them: so judge between them according to what God has sent down. Do not follow their inclinations that are far from what has come to you of the truth. We have assigned a law and a path to each of you. If God had so willed, He would have made you one community, but He wanted to test you through that which He has given you, so race to do good: you will all return to God and He will make clear to you the matters you differed about.

5.49 Do not follow their whims, and take good care that they do not tempt you away from any of what God has sent down to you.

5.66 If only they had upheld [the law of] the Torah, the Gospel, and what has been revealed to them from their Lord, they would have been overwhelmed with provisions from above and below. Some among them are upright, yet many do nothing but evil.

5.68 Say (O Muhammad SAW) "O people of the Scripture (Jews and Christians)! You have nothing to stand on till you act according to the Torah, the Gospel, and what has (now) been sent down to you from your Lord (the Quran)." Verily, that which has been sent down to you (Muhammad SAW) from your Lord increases in many of them their obstinate rebellion and disbelief. So be not sorrowful over the people who disbelieve.

Quran’s stance on the Trinity

5.72 Those who say, ‘God is the Messiah, son of Mary,’ have defied God. The Messiah himself said, ‘Children of Israel, worship God alone, my Lord and your Lord.’ If anyone associates others with God, God will forbid him from the Garden, and Hell will be his home. No one will help such evildoers.

5.73 Those who say, “God is one in a Trinity,” have certainly fallen into disbelief. There is only One God! If they do not stop saying this, those who disbelieve among them will be afflicted with a painful punishment.
